Q. Tobacco/Cigarette consumption
Answer
I created the guide for your class at http://library.uhd.edu/MBA6212, but as you've probably found, it doesn't get you directly to all the information you need. What I've found after doing some research is that the U.S. government doesn't track as much information about tobacco as it used to. You might want to cover a different time frame possibly. But anyway, here's what I found.
The Center for Disease Control has a table about consumption of cigarettes at http://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/data_statistics/fact_sheets/economics/econ_facts/. Also try the Tobacco Outlook report, which just goes to 2007, found at http://usda.mannlib.cornell.edu/usda/ers/TBS//2000s/2007/TBS-10-24-2007.pdf. That report has some links you could follow that might get you to more current information. There is a USDA database where you could get more current prices on tobacco from an agricultural viewpoint at http://quickstats.nass.usda.gov/.
Finally, I found an international report that may have some useful information at http://www.who.int/tobacco/global_report/2011/en/index.html. See if any of these things give you something you can use.
