I am researching anxiety in college students.

Answer

To find journal articles on anxiety and college students, start with the database called ERIC. To get there, go to the Library's homepage at http://www.uhd.edu/library/ and select the Research Guides tab >>Guides by Subject>>Education>>ERIC.

Type the following keywords in the ERIC search boxes: "anxiety" AND "college students". You will see a large number of results. Under "Subject" on the left column, look for suggested keywords to target your search better. For instance, "coping", "emotional response", "stress management", and "test anxiety" seem useful.

You may want to refine your results further. Try the "Full Text" (show articles that can be read online), Scholarly(Peer Reviewed) Journals options or set the publication date. You can also try searching databases called PsycINFO and PSYCArticles. You can access them through the library's Psychology Research Guide.

To find books on the topic of your research, go back to the Library home page and select the CATALOG tab. Use the search terms I have suggested above to search the library catalog.
