How do I look up the financial statement of a company?
Answer
We have a library research guide which includes a section on company and industry resources. Go to http://library.uhd.edu/business and click on the tab at the top called "Company and Industry Resources." On that page, in the center "Company Information" box, look for Mergent Online and click on it. On the resulting page, type the name of your company in the search box, or the ticker symbol if you know it. For your company's financial statement to be available, the company will have to be publicly traded (sell stock) and also be a parent company. When you start typing the company name, a drop-down box will give you choices of company names to choose from. Click on the ticker symbol for your company. The resulting page will give you an overview of the company. Look for the tab that says "Company Financials," and click on it. You should then get to a page that shows you part of the financials. You can change options to determine what part of the statement you get, for what time period, etc. Once you find what you want, you can download it to your computer or a flash drive in Excel format, or you can print it out.
