Q. I am looking for scholarly journals about how cloud computing is important for accountants.
Start with the library research guide to resources in accounting http://library.uhd.edu/accounting. On the first page, in the middle, you’ll see a box that is titled “Accounting Research Databases.” Select the first entry in that box, Accounting & Tax Database, by clicking on it.
When you get the database search page, in the first search box, type:
In the second box, type:
accounting information system
Below the search boxes is a section that says “Limit to:.” Beneath that, check off “full text” and “peer reviewed.” Since peer-reviewed articles take a while to come out and cloud computing is a relatively new concept, there won’t be many peer-reviewed articles on it, but at least one does come up, which you’ll be able to print or download right off your computer. You may get resources that don’t use cloud to refer to computing. You should sort them by date (newest first) — look to the left of the list of results, and you’ll see the “sort results by” option.
If you don’t find enough information in Accounting & Tax, you may want to go back to the accounting research guide and try Business Source Complete and Emerald Full Text. (Emerald Full Text is all full text and all peer-reviewed.)
