I am trying to find scholarly sources on music negative effect on human behavior.

Answer

One way to start is to LibSearch, the search box in the middle of our homepage at https://www.uhd.edu/library/Pages/library-index.aspx.

For example, you could use one of these searches:

      music problem behavior
      music delinquent behavior
      music delinquency
      music delinquents

Check the box that says "Scholarly (Peer Reviewed)." That will limit your results to scholarly sources. You might also want to click on the box that says "Full text (Online)."

For these searches, you could also replace the word music with a particular kind of music, i.e.,

      heavy metal delinquency
      rap music delinquency

Another way to search is to use subject-specific databases.  For this option, you could start at the library homepage, click on the "Databases" tab, click on "Databases by Subject," choose one of the subjects, and then choose one of the databases recommended for your subject.  Within each database, you can follow the search strategies recommended above for LibSearch.
