What if I need an article in a journal that the library does not have, how can I obtain it?

Answer

If you need an article the UHD does not have, you can order a copy through the library's Interlibrary Loan service at http://library.uhd.edu/interlibraryloan.  We will check other libraries around the country to see if we can get a copy for you.  If the journal is available at many libraries, we may be to get you an electronic copy of the article in 4-5 days.  Articles from rare journals, or journals from publishers that restrict Interlibrary Loan activity, may take longer to arrive.

To place an Interlibrary Loan order, you will need to create an account. Once you have the account, you can use this system to place orders, check the status of orders, and pick up electronic articles when they are ready.
