Q. Does UHD have a sustainability program for university operations?

Also, UHD started a community garden in 2009. Does it still exist? If so, who is the contact? If not, what happened to the program?

Answer

UHD's community garden does still exist. The person on staff who originally established it is no longer with the University. However, the UH-Downtown Environmental Club, a student organization, maintains it. They have an active Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/UHDenvironmentalclub?ref=ffa.

The only person on staff who might be able to tell you if there is anyone else involved with the garden is Chris McCall, UHD's Assistant Vice President for Facilities Management. He can be contacted at 713-221-8030 or as mccallc@uhd.edu.
