Q. I have a report for Business Communication on Egypt. The section I am doing is nonverbal communication. How can I find relevant information?
I think you may find some good information through the databases on our International Business Research Guide. To get there, select the RESEARCH GUIDES tab from the Library homepage https://www.uhd.edu/library/Pages/library-index.aspx. Then choose the Guides by Subject link, then Business, then International Business. (A short cut link is here: http://library.uhd.edu/internationalbusiness). Once in the International Business Research Guide, select the purple Country Resources tab. The box on the left side of the page, titled Demographic Information, contains several good databases for your project. I suggest you start with CountryWatch.
Once in CountryWatch, click on "select a country." Then click on Egypt. Then take a look at the links in the left column. Under Social Overview, select Cultural Etiquette. You will come to an essay titled, "Cultural Dos and Tabbos." It contains lots of information on nonverbal communication in Egypt.
The Global Road Warrior database also has some good cultural information on nonverbal communication in Egypt.
If you need more information, try searching some of the business databases listed on the International Business Research Guide. You will find the databases under the General Business Resources tab. I found the most information when I searched ABI/INFORM Complete for this topic.
Use "nonverbal communication" or "etiquette" on the first search line, and try the following suggestions on the second line:
