Q. I am trying to access full-text articles. However, when I see a link to a pdf, I get a log-in request for ScienceDirect. How do I proceed?
If everything is working correctly, you should not have that experience.
To help us diagnose the problem, can you tell me the following information?
(1) What browser software were you using when the problem occurred, i.e., Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.?
(2) Were you connecting from a computer on the UHD campus, the UHD wireless network, or an off-campus site?
(3) Were you at any point prompted to enter your UHD user name and PIN?
(4) What database or tool were you using to search for the articles, i.e., the LibSearch box on the library home page, Academic Search Complete, PsycINFO, Google Scholar, etc.?
