I need to find current articles (last 3 months) on the “Importance of Financial Markets." How do I find such a recent article?

Answer

Start with the LibSearch database - it is the search box in the middle of the Library homepage http://www.uhd.edu/library. Enter your search terms: importance of financial markets. You should get many results. To limit it to the last 3 months, go to the Publication Date area in the left column and select the day, month, and year you need.

You may want to use some of the other "Refine your search" options in the left column, such as Items with full text online, Content Type, or Subject Terms.

Another way to sort the information is by using the drop down box on the top right side of the results list that says “Relevance”. The default setting is to display the articles most relevant to your search terms first, but you may also sort the information by date (older to newer or vice versa).

When you check the box marked full-text before your search you wil only retrieve full-text articles. Click on the title of the item to read it online. If the article doesn't pop up right away, look for links that say "article," "full text," or "pdf".  Those links should take you to a version of the article you can print or save.
