Q. I am having trouble finding a current list of the top ERP systems untilized in business.
Several databases that we have that may help you. Find them at under the "Databases" tab on the library's home page. "MarketLine Advantage" — this has market reports listed under “Technology,” and one that might be of interest is on business intelligence systems. There’s also one on corporate IT trends in 2010. I didn’t get a chance to look at these closely, so there might be something in there.
"Business Source Complete" — try a search for enterprise resource planning and market share. Again, I didn’t get to go through everything, but you may find something there.
You could also try looking for major competitors of Oracle, which is obviously one of the biggest, if not the biggest. You could find that in our databases called Hoover’s and MarkerLine Advantage.
Gartners is a consulting firm that may do a report on this. I’m sure it wouldn’t be available for free, but they may have done press releases that provide information. Their Web site is at http://www.gartner.com/it/products/newsroom/index.jsp/.
I found another item on the Web, which you would need to assess for credibility, but I thought I’d pass it on: http://www.erpsoftware360.com/erp-software.htm.
