Q. I am trying to find a teacher’s edition textbook to do a chapter analysis for my Instruction and Assessment class.

Answer

You can search the library’s textbook collection by going to the catalog’s Advanced Search http://library.uh.edu/search~S14/X . Under Sub-collection, choose Textbooks K-12 (you will have to arrow down to find this option). In one of the search boxes at the top, type: teacher’s edition. Your results will be a list of teacher’s edition textbooks available at the UH System libraries. You can also type a subject into the second search box on the Advanced Search screen to search for a teacher’s edition textbook in a particular subject (English or History, for example).

You may not see the grade level you are looking for on the results page, but if you click on the title of the book you are interested, the next page will have all avaialbe grade levels.

If a book you see is not available at the UHD campus, you can have it sent from another UH campus. After you click on the book’s title, click the Request button at the top of the screen and enter the requested information.
