Q. I am trying to find information on how to complete a book review.

Answer

I suggest you read through the Purdue University Online Writing Lab guide to writing a book review http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/704/1/ . It describes what a book review is and how to go about writing one.

You may also find it helpful to read some book reviews on books related to your subject area. To search for book reviews you can use LibSearch. Start at our homepage at www.uhd.edu/library. Use the search box in the center of the screen labeled “LibSearch”.  LibSearch is a fast and easy way to search books, newspapers, journal articles and trade publications on any topic all in one step. It is a Google-like way to search our library’s collection.  In the search box, enter a search term related to the book you need to review (“psychology” or “management,” for instance). In the Results list, select Reviews under Limit by Source Type.
