Where can I find statistics on the Mexican drug war ?
I suggest you try some resources from our Statistics research guide http://library.uhd.edu/statisticsanddata . Put your cursor over the blue tab that says Statistics by Topic and click on the link for Drugs and Crime. Particularly you may find good information from the U.S. National Drug Information Center. Their website has publications such as the National Drug Threat Assessments annual reports. You will need to browse through the links in these reports to find applicable information.
Also, newspaper articles are often a good source for current statistics.
From the library homepage http://www.uhd.edu/library/ click on the dark grey tab for Research Guides>>>Guides by Subject>>>News>>>News and Newspapers. You will come to the research guide for newspapers with many links to news databases. Choose a database (I suggest ProQuest Newspapers or LexisNexis Academic) and enter in some of the following search terms. I also suggest clicking the checkbox for Full Text articles.
Mexican drug war
Mexican drug cartels
Rival drug cartels
Mexico drug trafficking
Click on an article title to see the full text of the article. It may be helpful to skim through an article looking for numbers to search for statistical information.
