Now Available: Library Research Guide to Financial Ratios

The library has access to several tools which may help you.

Ratios and industry averages by industry are available in the following databases, which are all accessible here:

http://library.uhd.edu/content.php?pid=113723&sid=984050

As you noted, the ones you're having trouble with are not as common in our databases. I have listed databases that may have some of them.

Mergent Horizon -- Look up your industry under "sector," then look at "Financial Highlights." Also, you can look up a company in the sector and see the section on "Valuation."

First Research -- Searchable by industry keyword, NAICS code, and SIC code. Look under "Financial Information," once you find your industry.

D&B Key Business Ratios -- Searchable by SIC code.

Hoover's -- Look up a company in your industry, then look under "Competition" then "Competitive Landscape."

Value Line--Look up individual stocks within an industry.
