I'm doing a compliance regulation report over a particular industry for my Legal Environment class.

I need compliance regulation laws for wine bars or bars in Houston.

This kind of thing can be a little complicated, but I hope some of the tips I provide below will help you find what you need. One place to look is the "alcoholic beverages" section of Texas state regulations, Houston city ordinances, and U.S. federal regulations. The links below should take you directly to those regulations in versions that are easy to browse. 

Houston Code of Ordinances

On the side menu, scroll down to "CODE OF ORDINANCES," then choose "Chapter 3 - ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES." 

Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission Code and Rules
http://www.tabc.state.tx.us/laws/code_and_rules.asp
This website links to Texas laws and regulations relating to alcoholic beverages.

Texas Administrative Code, Title 16

This link should take you directly to the alcoholic beverages section of Texas regulations.

United States Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter 27

See search box at top of screen.  Try:  wine, "alcoholic beverages," bars, taverns, cocktail, restaurant, etc.

Texas Administrative Code (see screen shot at the bottom of the screen)
1. Start with your class guide at http://library.uhd.edu/BA3301.
2. Choose "LexisNexis Academic" at the bottom of the screen.
3. Click on the "Search by content type" on the upper right hand part of the search box.
4. Click on "State Statutes, Codes & Regulations" under "Legal."
5. Click on "Advanced Options" 
6. Check the box next to "Administrative Code."
7. Check the box next to "Texas"

8. Type one of these searches:

        wine w/10 retail
        wine w/10 sell
        wine w/10 sale
        liquor w/10 retail
        liquor w/10 sell
        liquor w/10 sale
        "liquor license"
        "alcoholic beverages"
        bars w/10 "liquor license"
        bars w/10 restaurants
   

U.S. Federal Code of Regulations
1. Start with your class guide at http://library.uhd.edu/BA3301.
2. Choose "LexisNexis Academic" at the bottom of the screen.
3. Click on "Search by Content Type"
4. Click on "Federal Statutes, Codes & Regulations" under "Legal."
5. Click on advanced options below the search box. 
6. Uncheck all the boxes except "CFR-Code of Federal Regulations."
